About Fowkes Bros

Fowkes Bros has been a leading distributor of engineering & industrial supplies in South Africa since 1897.

We are currently holding stock of over 18,000 product lines. We service over 3,000 industrial account customers on a weekly basis.

Fowkes Bros has been around for more than 120 years. Most of our customers have been with us for decades. We have 6 branches around the country (in Cape Town, Paarl, George, East London, Germiston and Rosslyn).

Because we hold stock ourselves (11,500 sqm of warehouse space under roof), we aim to dispatch within 24 hours. We deliver to industrial account customers via our own fleet of 75 vehicles. Online orders are delivered via a courier with a flat delivery fee, regardless of weight or location.

We have about 240 full-time staff members, including 25 people that have been with us for more than 20 years. Our staff are well-trained to meet the diverse needs of our customers across engineering and industrial industries in South Africa.

We stock over 100 leading brands, including Gedore, Makita, Bosch, Chicago Pneumatic, Loctite, Sika, Spanjaard, CRC, Rocol, Dromex, Pferd, Rhodius, Somta, FEW, Bostik, Kennedy, Academy, Afrox, Genkem, Good Hand, Stanley and others.

We also import directly ourselves from about 100 foreign suppliers across 15 countries. We buy container loads directly from the best manufacturers in the world, and deliver directly to industrial end-users in South Africa.

Our customer base is wide and includes companies in the following industries: Engineering and fabrication, Automotive, Logistics, FMCG, Civil construction, Energy, Aviation, Defence, Refrigeration, General Manufacturing, Boat building, Bus and canopy manufacturers, Pool builders, Signage... and many more.
